Week Two on Whole30 Program

Tomorrow marks the halfway point through the Whole30 Program. The program is going great and I’m really enjoying this way of eating. I can notice my clothes are starting to fit a lot better (I still have a long way to go in that department but I’m honestly on this program for more important reasons. Loosing weight is just a wonderful bonus!). I have more energy and I’m able to get a restful sleep. Another perk that just amazes me is that I have NO cravings. I’m not craving sweets, breads, and chips! It’s crazy to me because I have never felt this way before. I have NEVER been able to stop eating sugary foods. As for my Crohn’s Disease symptoms…they have all improved as well. The diarrhea is almost gone. I’d even say that everything is heading back to normal (knocks on wood).

Well here is a little run down of the meals I ate last week. I tried a bunch of new recipes and they were all delicious! Everything is full of such flavor and very satisfying.

Lunch- Turkey Burger with Green Beans

Dinner- Steak Tips with Sautéed Vegetables

 

Beef and Vegetable Lo MeinTuesday

Breakfast- Fried Eggs with Bacon

Lunch- Turkey Burger with Sautéed Brussels Sprouts with Pistachios and Lemons

Dinner- Beef and Vegetable Lo Mein

 

Wednesday

Breakfast- Crockpot Beef and Mushroom Stew

Lunch- Pumpkin Sausage Soup

Dinner- Leftovers

 

Blackberry Glazed Grilled Pork ChopsThursday

Breakfast- Vegetable Omelet

Lunch- Bacon, Egg, Avocado, and Tomato Salad with Spicy Carrots

Dinner- Blackberry Glazed Grilled Pork Chops with Green Beans and Sautéed Brussels Sprouts

 

Friday

Breakfast- Leftover Crockpot Beef and Mushroom Stew

Lunch- Leftover Pumpkin Sausage Soup and Spicy Carrots

Dinner- Leftovers

 

SaturdayVegetables

Breakfast- Fried Eggs with Sauteed Vegetables, Bacon, and Strawberries with Coconut Butter Drizzle

Lunch- Leftovers

Dinner- Grilled Chicken with Mashed Sweet Potato, and Steamed Broccoli and Cauliflower

I’m at little weary about this coming week. My husband and I are traveling on business. I guess I’m not to sure how the Whole30 Program will fit into eating out. I know there is a Whole Foods close to where we are staying. That might be my saving grace. I did pack lots of homemade Larabars and healthy snacks for emergencies. Fingers crossed the next week will be just GREAT!
