I can’t believe that it’s already April! This year is flying by. Now if only the Spring weather would come to New England, all would be good in this world. Before we head into the March Empties, I wanted to share that I got bangs! I was so scared but am glad I took the plunge. My heart was pounding when my hairdresser did the cutting. I’m happy with the results and it’s a fun change.
This month has been a good month of finishing up products. I was on a No Buy from February 15- March 15. Talk about rough but it was really good to focus on finishing some products. It feels so good to have empties. Let’s dive into the list.
Coconut Bath & Shower Gel
This pretty much was just an average body wash. It smelled like coconuts- which I absolutely love! But I really didn’t notice it make much of a difference with my skin. The scent didn’t linger on my body either, which can be a good thing. I bought this body wash at HomeGoods and paid $4.99 for it.
I actually really like this conditioner! It’s my go to. I buy this either at CVS or Ulta. I believe its around $20.00 bottle. I know its expensive but I find that it doesn’t make my hair greasy or too dry. Its just perfect for my hair type-which is on the greasy side. I have already purchased this product again!
Kevin.Murphy Shampoo and Conditioner
I purchased these products from my hairdresser. I actually really liked these products. They smell divine and made my hair feel smooth and shiny. My hair never got greasy or too dry. They are expensive. Each bottle was $29.00 and there isn’t a lot of product in the bottle. I would try them again but I also like to switch up my hair products every now and again. Plus, spending $60.00 on shampoo and conditioner is a bit much.
Kiehl’s Powerful-Strength Line-Reducing Concentrate
I want to start off by saying, I LOVE Kiehl’s products. My entire day and night face routine consists of Kiehl’s products. My skin has never been better since using their face products. Unfortunately, I don’t feel that way with the Line-Reducing Concentrate. I got samples to try, as it’s very expensive. But I didn’t notice it make any difference on my forehead wrinkles. I know it could just be me, as I’ve heard this product works wonders for others. Who knows, maybe it will work for you.
I liked this product when I first started using it. I purchased this at Ulta before they stopped selling their products. I got it for 70% off- which was too good to pass up. It removes makeup and not a lot of product is needed. BUT- after a few weeks of using it, it made me break out all along my face and chin. I stopped using it and my face started to clear up. So unfortunately, this was a dud for me and I won’t be repurchasing.
This is my number one top foundations! I love this stuff. We have been in a long lasting relationship and we’ve been going steady for over a year! Is it legal to marry makeup yet? Just kidding! Back to the foundation-this stuff is magic for your face. It’s long wearing, evens out your skin, applies perfectly, and is affordable. This foundation is perfect for oily skin (I have normal to oily skin) and has never broken me out.
These sponges are my life! These things make applying makeup effortless and blend the foundation to pure perfection! I definitely prefer these to the Beauty Blender. Purchasing the Miracle Sponge can save you a crap load of money. And I’m all about that life.
I could literally write a novel just talking about this top coat. I swear I hear angels singing every time I unscrew the bottle. This stuff is magic! This is the BEST nail polish I have EVER used…EVER! I have always had the worst luck with my nails. Before this top coat came into my life, it would take hours for my nails to dry and they would chip within a day. Not any more. I can have chip-free nails for up to a week! And my nails completely dry within 10 minutes. Also, can I just bask in the glory of actually finishing a nail polish!!! I feel like I’ve won a marathon!
So there you have it! These are my empties for the month. It’s so rewarding to finish up products that I’ve purchased. I guess it makes room for all the new stuff. Be sure to check back for my next blog post. I’ll be sharing my top favorite products of March.
