Today marks day three of going Paleo and I’ll admit I’m not feeling the greatest at all! I actually feel like I have the flu. Which means…my body must be detoxing! This is a very common occurrence when eating healthy whole foods. Check here for a list of detoxing side effects and the causes. Other than feeling fluish, I’ve felt great. I’ve lost four pounds!!! AWESOME!!! I also really love cooking Paleo which makes the “diet” a tad easier. There are so many great recipes out in the blog world!!! One of my favorite Paleo blogs is PaleOMG! Julie is AH-mazing. She is so creative in the kitchen and her meals are just delicious. Here are two recipes that I made this week that I totally recommend!!
For lunch, I made a Chipotle Chicken Salad with 30 Second Mayo. I used up some leftover grilled chicken to whip up this delicious dish. The mayo was super super easy to make and tastes great too. I’ve tried making other mayos in the past and they’ve all been flops.
The second recipe I tried was Salisbury Steak Burgers with Mushroom Gravy. YUM! The mushroom gravy was delicious and oh so savory. I will defiantly be making this again.
Well I’m hoping the detoxing stage will be over in the next couple days. It’s a good sign but it also sucks to feel like junk. Here’s hoping tomorrow is a better day.
